Some FAQs

What is the best way to travel to the theatre?

The theatre is in Queen Mary's Garden in Regent's Park. The closest underground station is Baker Street.

Is the theatre easy to find?

If you are a first time visitor, please leave plenty of time to find the theatre. As we are located within a Royal Park, signposting is limited, so you may want to print off a copy of the map. Please note that Clarence Bridge will be closed until 9 July 2012.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to dress as casually or as smartly as you like. However, the theatre is entirely outdoors so please remember to come prepared for all types of weather, including sun cream, waterproofs and jumpers. We also sell rugs, caps and ponchos.

Can I bring an umbrella?

Yes, but please refrain from using an umbrella during the performance. As all seating is uncovered, waterproof seat covers are available from the merchandise counter.

What time do the theatre gates open?

In order to prepare the venue and for the cast to complete their warm up, theatre gates open 90 minutes before evening performances and 60 minutes before matinees.

Is the theatre within the congestion charging zone?

No, the theatre is outside of the congestion charging zone.

Can I bring my bike to the theatre?

Yes, there is an area inside the theatre to store your bike during the performance. Do not chain your bike to the Park railings, or leave your bike outside the theatre as Queen Mary's Gardens are locked at dusk.

I need to organise my journey home. How will I know what time the performance ends?

The running time will not be more than three hours. Once the production opens, we will add the running time within the What's On section.

Can I smoke at the theatre?

Following customer feedback, the theatre and theatre grounds are completely no smoking. If you wish to smoke, a member of staff will let you out of the Theatre Exit Gate.
